Matt Nagel is a seasoned communications and public relations professional with over 15 years of experience in PR agency and in-house roles, specializing in cybersecurity for enterprise and consumer technology companies. His core strengths encompass PR strategy, media relations, crisis communications, content marketing, and social media. Currently serving as the Security & Privacy PR Lead at Zoom Video Communications, Matt effectively manages strategic initiatives, including the successful launch of Zoom’s end-to-end encryption feature.

In previous roles, Matt served on the Amazon PR team, securing positive coverage and driving influencer strategies for Amazon Fire tablets, and crafting PR strategy for devices in development (“emerging devices”). At Symantec, he led global communications efforts for security research, ranging from election security to a cybercriminal bank heist. Throughout his career, Matt has built strong press relationships, mentored teams, and contributed to the success of many technology-focused clients.

Matt holds an Executive M.B.A. from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a B.A. from U.C. Davis. He also earned a “Certified in Cybersecurity” certification from ISC2.
